Pricing & Availability – Ollantaytambo 1 Day Tour

The Ollantaytambo 1 Day Tour departs daily, year-round, with pickup between 7:30–8:30 AM and return to Cusco between 5:00–7:00 PM depending on the sites visited. Daily departures are available and can be booked up to one day in advance. A minimum of 2 travelers is required for a guaranteed departure. The tour can also be run in reverse — starting in Ollantaytambo for travelers arriving from Machu Picchu and ending in Cusco. Best season: May to October (dry season).

Note: the Cusco Tourist Ticket itself offers a student reduction — a valid ISIC card gives access to the ~70-sole partial ticket at the reduced student rate of 40 soles (~$12 USD).
• Under 18 years old: $5 USD discount on service price. Please send a copy of your passport at the time of booking.
• Children under 9 years old: Archaeological sites are free for young children. Tour service fee still applies.

Important Notes: Ollantaytambo is one of the most impressive and best-preserved Inca fortresses in Peru, featuring massive stone terraces, the unfinished Temple of the Sun with its legendary monolithic doorways, a sophisticated hydraulic system still functioning today, and sweeping views of the surrounding Sacred Valley. Unlike Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo has no daily visitor limit, making it accessible year-round without advance permit booking. The site is also the main departure point for trains to Machu Picchu — making this tour ideal as a standalone day trip or as a gateway excursion before continuing onward. The Partial Tourist Ticket (~70 soles / $20 USD) must be purchased in cash in Peruvian soles and is not included in the base tour price unless stated. Tips for your guide and driver are optional but always appreciated.
