Trip Style Services: CONFORT, ORIGINAL AND BASIX

This tour offers a day trip to the Palcoyo Rainbow Mountains. The journey begins with an early morning departure from your hotel in Cusco. You will travel by private vehicle for approximately 3.5 hours through the Vilcanota Valley, passing small villages and observing the local landscape. This drive provides a gradual adjustment to the region’s altitude before the main activity.

Upon arrival near the Checacupe district, you will begin the hike. The walk to the main viewpoint of the three Palcoyo rainbow mountains takes about 1.5 hours and is on relatively flat terrain. This makes it a more accessible option compared to other high-altitude treks. At the viewpoint, there will be time to rest, take photos, and have a snack.

The return journey follows the same path, a 1.5-hour walk back to the vehicle. After the hike, a prepared lunch will be served in the town of Checacupe. The tour concludes with the drive back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time in the late afternoon. This structured day trip allows for a full experience of the Palcoyo mountains with all logistics managed.
